Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation: Harley-Davidson Sweepstakes Campaign
Project Overview:
Flanagan Silcott LLC was hired to develop creative materials, media placement strategy, and advertising execution for the Colorado Fallen Hero Foundation’s Harley-Davidson sweepstakes fundraiser. Our goal was to create public awareness, generate sweepstakes entries, and build broader visibility for the Foundation’s work honoring first responders killed in the line of duty.
Scope of Work:
Developed a full creative suite, including:
Campaign-specific website pages
Social media ads
Print ads
Pocket cards cards
Event banners
Email marketing templates
Blog post content
Designed campaign-specific layouts using existing imagery of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle and Foundation photography, maximizing quality while minimizing production costs for this non-profit with high expenditures (they pay for line-of-duty funerals and support services).
Supported paid social media ads and placed advertisements in selective print publications to target law enforcement communities
Campaign Results:
900,000+ impressions across digital and print
6,500+ social media ad clicks
$0.31 average cost-per-click, outperforming typical industry benchmarks for cause-related marketing (avg. $0.50-$1.00)
Email open rates consistently above 35%, exceeding nonprofit averages
Built a strong base of new email and social media followers to support the Foundation’s ongoing outreach efforts beyond the sweepstakes.
Notes:
While the campaign achieved strong advertising performance, entry conversions were impacted by limited paid media budget, lack of broader earned media promotion, and a condensed marketing timeline. Flanagan Silcott LLC worked swiftly and strategically within constraints, delivering professional, creative, and tactical media management that laid a foundation for future campaigns.
